Sri Lanka Tour Packages: Honest, Fixed Route Trips With a Local Guide

Fixed route Sri Lanka tour packages covering the Cultural Triangle, hill country, and coast, built and led by local guides, no hidden upsells.

If you'd rather start from a set route than plan one from scratch, these packages cover the regions most first time visitors want to see, each led by a guide who actually lives and works in that part of the island. They're built as a starting point, not a rigid script, so small adjustments before you travel are normal and expected.

Classic Sri Lanka: 10 Days

Our most booked package, covering the Cultural Triangle, hill country, and south coast in the sequence most first time visitors find works best. Includes Sigiriya, Kandy, the scenic train to Ella, and time on the south coast beaches. This is the route to pick if you want a genuine cross section of the island without feeling rushed at any point.

Cultural Triangle Short Trip: 5 Days

For shorter visits, focused on Sigiriya, Dambulla, Polonnaruwa, and Kandy. A good fit if Sri Lanka is one stop on a longer regional trip, or if you have limited time but still want the historical highlights properly rather than a rushed drive by version of each.

Full Island: 14 Days

Adds wildlife safari and a second coast to the classic route, for travellers who want to see more without rushing between stops. See the full day by day breakdown in our itinerary guide, which shows exactly how the extra time gets used.

What's Actually Included

  • A guide who lives and works in the regions you're visiting, matched to your specific package rather than assigned at random
  • A route planned around realistic travel times, not a wish list of attractions crammed into too few days
  • Direct contact with your guide before and during the trip, not a call centre or a different point of contact at every stage

What's Not Included

Flights, and most accommodation is arranged separately based on your budget rather than bundled at a markup, which keeps pricing transparent rather than hiding a commission inside a room rate you can't see. We'll tell you honestly what a package should cost rather than padding the price to look generous with a fake discount.

How Packages Differ From a Fully Private Route

A package gives you a proven, pre thought out route as a starting point, which suits travellers who want a strong default without designing a trip from scratch. If you'd rather build something entirely custom around your own interests and pace from day one, our private guide service does exactly that instead.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can a package be adjusted once I've picked one? Yes, within reason. These are starting templates, and small changes to pacing or specific stops are normal before a trip is confirmed.

Are these group tours or private? Private, with your own guide rather than joining a larger group with a fixed schedule set by other travellers' preferences.

How far in advance should I book? For peak season, December through March, booking a few months ahead gives the best availability on guides and accommodation. Shoulder season is more flexible.

Not Ready for a Fixed Route?

If you'd rather build something custom around your own interests and pace, our private guide service does exactly that. Planning a honeymoon specifically? See our honeymoon packages, built around a different pace and priorities entirely.
